Fixed Route Service
Ztrans operates Fixed Routes that Serve the City of Alamogordo, Holloman AFB, and the Village of Ruidoso. They are the Green, Yellow, and Purple for Alamogordo and Holloman AFB; and the Brown Routes for the village of Ruidoso. Ztrans also operates two Intercity Routes. The Orange route connects Alamogordo to the City of Las Cruces in Dona Ana County, and the Blue route connects Alamogordo to the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation and the Inn of the Mountain Gods, in the Sacramento Mountains. These routes currently operate Monday thru Friday from 6:00am to 6:00 pm. Check each route for the exact times and stops. Individuals can call 575-439-4971 if more information is needed.
Intercity Route Service
Both the Orange and Blue Routes are Intercity Fixed Routes. Both leave from Alamogordo starting at 6:00am Monday thru Friday. The Orange route leaves from Walmart and has a stop on Holloman AFB. It then continues to Las Cruces 70 miles to the West. There are stops at area hospitals, two Colleges, and a large shopping center. Riders can access the Roadrunner Bus system in Las Cruces, or the South Central Regional Transit District buses. This route has three runs per day.
The Blue Route operates Monday thru Friday 6:00am to 7:30pm. It leaves from the Texaco truck stop on the north end of Alamogordo and has stops in Tularosa and on the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation ending at the Inn of the Mountain Gods 45 miles away, and returning to Alamogordo along the same route. Two buses operate on this route giving a total of 8 trips per day. Check the Route schedule for exact times and stops.
Both Intercity Routes have transfer points for the Fixed route service for passenger connectivity.
ADA Paratransit Service
A door to door, or curb to curb service for individuals that qualify. Operates in the same service area as fixed route service. See ADA Paratransit service for details.
Senior Dial-A-Ride Service
This service is for qualified seniors in the Ruidoso service area only. It is a Demand Response service Monday thru Friday, from 6:00am to 6:00pm. See Senior Dial-A-Ride service for details.
